Our next Work Day on the Railway Path will be Sunday 1 March 2026 starting at 10am. We will be trimming vegetation on a stretch of the path south of Ogbourne St George.
We will meet at in Bytham Road where the path proper begins again on the east of the A346, as shown in the map attached:

It is possible to park vehicles at the side of the road at this location though you are encouraged to come by bike if you can. The actual work site is about 1/3 mile south of this point and we will walk there from the meeting point. We will meet at 10am and aim to finish by 3pm but you are welcome to leave before that if you wish.
If you plan to attend please let me know so that I can get an idea of numbers, though if you forget please feel free to turn up anyway.
What to bring:
  • Packed lunch
  • Suitable clothing that is: warm, capable of coping with thorny materials and that that you don't mind getting dirty,
  • A waterproof outer layer in case it rains.
  • Stout footwear
  • A pair of tough gardening gloves
  • Eye protection
Tools will be provided but if you have any of your own that you would like to use, such as secateurs, sickles etc, feel free to bring them. Please don't bring power tools, though, as these are not covered by the risk assessment!
