Ogbourne St George is close to Marlborough and Swindon. The immediate area offers loads of facilities within a 20 minute drive. Below we have started a list of activities you may be interested in. We’ve started with a small list but it will grow. Tell us what you want to see added.
Golf
There are a couple of golf courses within a few miles of the village.

Cinemas
There are a couple of cinemas close by in Swindon. Both are now owned by Cineworld. One is East Swindon, One is West Swindon. Both are a 15-20 minutes drive.

Below are a number of Soft Play areas within a 20 minutes drive of our village.
For very young children (e.g. up to 3) I find that Jolly Roger offers a very large area for them to play. Once the kids are older, they prefer a change so view their websites and decide for yourself.

Many of the mums in the village prefer this with the 3-5 year old. Comfy seating, a good cup of coffee and a slightly nicer parent environment than the larger complexes.

The south’s biggest indoor play area - Jolly Roger has bouncy castles, seven different ball pools and the Drop (a 31ft long slide). There are also biff and bash bags, webbed tunnels and a special little tikes area, as well as a place where adults can relax and enjoy a drink, snack or even a meal. Jolly Roger has a kids driving area where visitors can hop on a bus, drive a post office van or even a police car.
Kidz Aloud Adventure Play & Party Centre

Children up to 12 years old will have fun, fun, fun at Kidz Aloud. Adventure play equipment in 12,000 sq feet, rising an amazing 6.5 metres high, including an astraslide, a dropslide and twisting spiral slide. There is a separate toddler area for the ‘wee’ ones so that they can play safely too. Also the Kidz Aloud cafe, which is open all day.

Swimming Pools
There are several swimming pools in the area.
The Marlbough Leisure centre is a standard 25m pool.
The Oasis in Swindon is a brilliant fun pool with slides and wave pool (but not very good if you want to swim)
