Walks

A short walk around the village and across the fields

Ogbourne WalkThis is just a little walk, ideal for walking off the Sunday lunch or getting the children out for some fresh air.

It can be a little muddy and there are stiles to cross. The little bridge adds some fun factor and our boys like hacking away at the tall weeds in the fields with sticks or swords (boys will be boys)

It’s just over a mile long and there are lots of additional routes you can add to make it longer. I’d allow an hour with children, 20 minutes without.

A short 1 hour walk up onto the Ridgeway

walk3This is a slightly more energetic short walk. It climbs up onto the Ridgeway and circles back.

It can be a little muddy up by the farm. You get great views along the whole walk.

For an extra workout, try pushing an ‘off road’ Push Chair!

Ogbourne St.George features as the first walk on The Megalthic Empire.
